VietNamNet Bridge – Young talent Nguyen Van Phuong won the men’s singles title of the Viet Nam Master tennis tournament, Vietravel Cup, which concluded in the central province of Nghe An on Sunday.

Phuong, 17, of Becamex Binh Duong beat his teammate, veteran Trinh Linh Giang 1-6, 7-6, 5-2 (Giang retired because of injury) in the final to take the title.

Earlier, Phuong and Giang also won the men’s doubles title after beating Le Quoc Khanh and Tat Thai Nguyen of Hung Thinh – HCM City 6-4 and 6-3 in the final.

On the women’s side, Tiffany Linh Nguyen of Binh Duong defended her title after beating Dao Minh Trang of Hung Thinh – HCM City in the final, while Tran Thuy Thanh Truc and Phan Nhu Quynh of Hung Thinh – HCM City easily defeated the duo Nguyen Thi Hong and Nguyen Thi Mai Huong of Hai Duong to win the women’s doubles.
