Three British-born scientists won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Physics on Tuesday for revealing unusual states of matter, leading to advances in electronics that could aid researchers trying to develop quantum computers.
"Research is my passion," said Tuesday Professor Francois Englert of the Free University of Brussels during the press conference, after learning that he is co-winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics with the British physicist Peter Higgs.
