More than 130,000 submissions from photographers all around the world have been submitted to the competition.
The 50 finalists, coming from 21 different countries, are now competing for the 25,000 USD prize that will be awarded on November 6 during the official AGORA awards 2019 ceremony in Barcelona.
Through the angles of the photographers, the audience will contemplate the wonders of the world and original moments of cultures, humans or landscapes in impressive ways.
The Vietnamese photographers’ works entering the final round of the contest, which capture the life and landscapes of the country, include Incense work by Khanh Phan – a 34-year-old female photographer who's struggled with social and gender prejudice to live her photography passion, When the Buffalo Comes Back by Hoang Quoc Vinh – a photographer who is a doctor living in Pleiku city and wants to showcase the world of peace and quietness in his province through his photo; Hearts on the Sea by Nguyen Phan Xuan – aerial shot of fishing nets over the coast of Vietnam and Farming by Diep Van – a snapshot of workers in rice fields in the northwestern mountainous region of Vietnam.
This striking image titled “Incense Work” was taken by Khanh Phan. The photo “Hearts On The Sea” is captured by Nguyen Phan Xuan and depicts fisherman at work. The piece titled “When The Buffalo Comes Back” is snapped by Phan Quoc Vinh in a river in Pleiku.
“Rainy Day” by Hendy MP from Indonesia is a pick of the top 50.
The image, named “Farming”, is taken by Diep Van.
“Alone In The Desert” is captured by Carles Alonso of Spain.
Phyo Moe of Myanmar takes the picture “Mother's Goodness”.
“Wild Look” is snapped by Sergio Saavedra of Spain,
“Echoes Of The Unknown” is a piece by Clement Eastwood of Ghana.
“Motherly Love” by Santiago López. “Throwing Nets’ is taken by Glenn Valentino of Indonesia.
“Expressions” is captured by Asim Ijaz of Pakistan. The final round of the AGORA Awards 2019 is scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain, on November 6. The winner of the competition is set to win US$25,000, or VND580 million, in prize money.
