A large section of the protective forest along the National Highway 14 and 28 in Dak Nong has been severely poisoned for years.

 Pine trees along National Highway 14 and 28 have died after being poisoned.

Tens of hectares of the pine trees were drilled into and had poison poured into them in order to justify seizing the land.

In October last year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked local authorities in Dak Nong Province to report the results of the investigation before December 31 to have strict punishments for violators.

The province set up two investigation teams, however, until now, the final conclusion of the case has not yet been announced.

To date, pine trees along National Highway 14 and 28 have died after being poisoned. Many trees have been drilled with holes of being 6-10 cm deep for pouring chemicals into.

Lots of dry pine trees have been burnt.
