VietNamNet Bridge – While being at the office, a police major was startled to hear the news that someone had carried two coffins to his house.

The incident took place on the afternoon of September 16 on Ho Van Nhanh Road, Ward 5, My Tho city in the southern province of Tien Giang.

The two coffins were taken to police Major Ho Van Phuoc’s home by a cart when Phuoc was at the office. Phuoc knew of the incident when a family member called him on the phone.

According to Phuoc’s neighbors, about 12pm on the same day, a man driving a cart asked the way to Major Phuoc’s home. Dozens of curious people ran to see so the driver went away, leaving two coffins in front of the police officer’s house.

Phuoc said that maybe someone had taken the wrong address. However, My Tho City Police Bureau said they have identified the person who called a coffin shop in My Tho City to request the shop to carry two coffins to the house of Major Phuoc.

"The coffins were sealed. The case is in the process of investigation so police cannot disclose further information," an investigator said.
