The 62 Chinese nationals work in Vietnam and were returning to their jobs. Three additional Chinese passengers were refused entry as they arrived using tourist visas.
The airport’s customs brought the 64 people to an isolated area and gave them health examinations. No passengers showed signs of infection. The HCM City International Medical Quarantine Centre recommended the passengers self-isolate for 14 days under the local medical sector’s supervision.
A list of the passengers was sent to their living area so authorities can provide regular health examinations.
