Meeting with UAE ambassador Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani, PM Dung expressed his delight at the growing Vietnam-UAE relations, noting Vietnam’s recognition of importance to enhancing ties with the UAE.

PM Dung suggested the two countries should strengthen delegation exchange at all levels and bilateral cooperation in economics, trade and investment, and coordinate closely at international forums, especially the UN.

He also asked the UAE to recognize Vietnam’s market economy status soon, support the country in coping with climate change, sea level rise, and bolstering labour and energy cooperation.

Dung reiterated Vietnam’s willingness to facilitate the UAE’s investment in the country.  Receiving Myanmar ambassador Uyn Lai, the government leader highlighted the constant development of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mynamar over the past years.

He hailed Myanmar’s role in taking over the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2014, affirming that Vietnam will work closely with Myanmar to contribute to the overall success of the year of ASEAN Chair.

The two diplomats pledged their best efforts to forge their countries’ ties with Vietnam and hoped that the Vietnamese Government will offer favourable conditions for them to fulfill their mission.
