VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on July 19 received Iranian ambassador Hossein Al-Vandi Behine and Mozambique ambassador Gamilien Munguambe, who have both recently assumed their roles in Vietnam.

Meeting with the Iranian diplomat, PM Dung said Vietnam always attaches great importance to strengthening multifaceted cooperation with Iran, adding that relevant agencies should closely coordinate to effectively implement new agreements and accelerate new cooperation programmes between the two countries.

The Vietnamese Government will create the best possible conditions for Ambassador Hossein Al-Vandi Behine to fulfill his tasks in the country, Mr Dung said.

For his part, Mr Al-Vandi Behine said his country is keen to boost all-round cooperation with Vietnam, affirming that during his term he will do his best to improve bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in economics, trade, finance and banking.

At the reception for Mozambique ambassador Gamilien Munguambe, the government leader expressed his delight at the fine developments in Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation in recent years.

He said he hopes both sides will work hand in hand to carry out high-level agreements and that Ambassador Munguambe will contribute positively to promoting multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.

PM Dung affirmed that Vietnam is willing to cooperate with Mozambique in its areas of strength and addressing Mozambique’s needs.

Vietnam wants the Mozambique government to support Vietnamese businesses investing in agriculture, seafood production and telecommunications and the two nations should promote cooperation in culture, education, science and technology, and national security and defence as well as supporting each other at international and regional forums, Mr Dung said.

Ambassador Munguambe highlighted the results of bilateral cooperation, particularly in economics over the past years, saying that both sides should fully tap their potential to serve targets for cooperation and development and bring two-way trade turnover to a higher level in the future.

He said his country wants to boost cooperation with Vietnam in agriculture, seafood production, education and healthcare.
