During his working session with the VWVA on March 13, PM Dung praised the close coordination between the Association and the Government, saying that the Association’s achievements over the past year have made practical contributions to the country’s socio-economic development.

The Association should bring its capabilities into full play by maintaining and promoting emulation movements, ensuring security and social safety, stepping up the communication of Party and State guidelines and policies, and coordinating closely with relevant agencies to build effective institutions and policies, said the PM.

The Government leader asked the Association to pay greater attention to the material and spiritual lives of its members, develop strong chapters, and work together with relevant agencies to implement policies related to war veterans.

PM Dung and leaders from the Ministries of Home Affairs; Health; and Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs gave their opinions on VWVA proposals for reviewing 15 years of the organization and operation of the VWVA in administrative agencies and enterprises.

They also discussed issuing regulations on adopting polices for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and creating conditions for the Association to carry out Party and State guidelines and policies more effectively.
