VietNamNet Bridge – This committee, which is led by the Prime Minister, will be established in March to help implement comprehensive reforms in education and training.

The meeting on the morning of February 25 of the National Council of Education and Human Development decided to establish the National Committee for Education and Training Innovation.

The committee chair is Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the vice chairs are the chief of the Central Information and PR Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

This committee is an interdisciplinary-agency assisting the Government and the Prime Minister to research and solve important tasks related to comprehensive innovations of education and training in Vietnam.

It also helps research, propose orientations and solutions, oversee the implementation of national strategies, interdisciplinary projects on education and training, vocational training, and human resource development.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Planning and Investment will be the permanent members on the committee.

Many representatives of relevant organizations and socio- political institutions will be invited to participate in the committee.
