VietNamNet Bridge – Deputy General Director Tran Dang Tuan of the Vietnam Television (VTV) has been allowed to resign by the Prime Minister after Tuan submitted his resignation to the government.

According to the Prime Minister’s decision signed on November 3, the VTV General Director will assign a new job to Tuan.
Tuan said that he had not received the decision so he couldn’t say whether he would stay with VTV or not.
On August 28, Tuan sent his resignation to the Prime Minister. Earlier, at the VTV Party Congress, he was not elected to VTV Party Committee of the new term.
Chair of the Government Office Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Tuan’s resignation was transmitted to the Minister of Home Affairs. On September 30, a meeting between the Ministry, VTV and Tuan was held.
Tuan was born in 1957. He is a doctor of television technology, who was trained at the Lomonosov University in the former USSR. He has worked for over two decades at the VTV and has highly contributed to work out VTV’s development strategy in 1996-2010.
