He highly appreciated the results of talks between Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and Tsetska Tsacheva.
He affirmed that active developments in multifaceted cooperation between the two countries have brought shared practical benefits.
The Vietnamese Government leader expressed thanks for the valuable support and cooperation from Bulgaria to Vietnam in the past struggle for national freedom and during the current socio-economic development.
PM Dung said based on the fine traditional friendship, the two countries should effectively implement agreed cooperative programmes and devise new programmes, focusing on trade and investment with the aim of raising two-way trade turnover to impressive levels in future.
He asked the two countries to strengthen cooperation in education, science and technology, tourism and culture.
PM Dung also asked Bulgaria to maintain and increase official development assistance to Vietnam and help the country boost cooperation with other EU countries. He stated that Vietnam is ready to support Bulgaria to cooperate with other ASEAN nations.
The Bulgarian chairwoman thanked Vietnam for its goodwill and said this visit aimed at affirming Bulgaria’s consistent policies of enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam to bring the Bulgaria-Vietnam ties to a new height in the near future.
She said the Bulgarian National Assembly always supports cooperative activities between the two Governments, as well as supporting Vietnam to expand cooperation with EU countries.
She suggested the two countries boost cooperation in energy, healthcare, agriculture, tourism and education, and promptly sign cooperative agreements on crime fighting.
Both leaders agreed that the two sides need to continue supporting each other at regional and international forums and boosting the exchange of delegations at all levels to highlight the friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations and people.
