VietNamNet Bridge – Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC (PNJ) has announced a charity housing program for the poor nationwide called “PNJ Love Shelter,” on the occasion of its 27th anniversary and 10th anniversary of PNJ Charity Fund. Under this program, PNJ plans to give away 50 houses to the poor in 2015.

Found in 2005, so far PNJ Charity Fund has contributed more than VND25 billion (over $1.2 million) to projects to improve the life of poor people and patients and scholarships to cultivate future talents of Vietnam.
These charity programs have been regularly organized with the participation of many PNJ’s employees and become PNJ culture, showing the spirit of solidarity and mutual love, willing to sharing for the community.

On the occasion of its 27th anniversary and 10th anniversary of PNJ Charity Fund, the Fund has presented the new logo featuring lotus – a symbol of a beautiful personality and a spirit of overcoming difficulties. The lotus with five leaves also represents the five values of Humanity – Formality – Integrity –Mentality – Credibility and the five activity sections of PNJ Charity Fund.
PNJ Charity Fund has also announced five action programs, including: Supporting the Education, PNJ Love Shelter, Sharing for a better Tet journey, Charity events for poor patients and other activities. It’s estimated that the budget for 2015 of PNJ Charity Fund is VND5 billion ($250,000).
Contributing “Pink Bricks” to build “Love Shelters for the Poor”

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, PNJ Charity Fund has launched a charity program calling the community to contribute “Pink Bricks” (each brick worth VND1,000) to cultivate the “PNJ Love Shelters” project.
With the message “Collecting 1 million Pink Bricks to build hundreds of Love Shelters”, the Fund hopes to receive supports of PNJ’s employees, donors (clients, partners, customers… of PNJ) and the community to bring hundreds of Love Shelters to poor people.

At the ceremony, the Fund received the heartfelt support of partners, clients, donors and especially PNJ’s employees for this meaningful activity, with 560,000 Pink Bricks were donated (equal to VND560 million or $25,000).
“2015 is the first year of PNJ Love Shelters project. We plan to build 50 shelters for poor people nationwide with expected budget about VND2.5 billion, each shelter worth VND45 million. Until now, we have received many dossiers of poor families nationwide and we are urgently reviewing to conduct. Wherever the Love Shelters will be built, it also has one design,” said PNJ’s Chair and CEO Cao Thi Ngoc Dung.
