Within the framework of US Vice President Kamala Harris's visit to Vietnam, on August 25, Interim Representative of the US Embassy in Vietnam Christopher Klein and Director of the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment Bui Duy Cuong signed an agreement on the new location of the US Embassy in Vietnam. 

With a project budget of about 1.2 billion USD, the new headquarters of the US Embassy has a construction scale of more than 419,000m2. This will be a symbol of an important milestone in the diplomatic relations between the US and Vietnam.
