According to the park website’s announcement, the park will close from November 10 through December 31.

Earlier, Dung, chairman and General Director of the Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, told the media that after he denounced violations of the chairman of Binh Duong Province, the company had endured “abnormal” behavior of the local government.

Dung said within 51 days (from 8/9 to 28/10/2014), Dai Nam received 12 dispatches from Binh Duong authorities related to the recovery of the right to use 61.4 hectares of land in the Song Than 3 Industrial Zone. The firm was continually inspected for tax duties.

Previously, Binh Duong announced its withdrawal of a decision dated July 2008 which allowed Dai Nam to raise the duration of land use in the Song Than Industrial Zone 3 from 50 years to permanent use.

In response to Dung’s declaration, Binh Duong Vice Chair Mr. Tran Van Nam said the province recovered land in the Song Than IZ 3 under the instruction of the Prime Minister.

He said the recovery was made after the Government Inspectorate issued a conclusion on Dung’s accusations against the chairman of Binh Duong province, which has content related to this plot of land.

The official confirmed that the local government did not raise difficulties to Dai Nam and the temporary closure of the park was the decision of this company.

Mr. Le Van Trang, Director of Binh Duong Department of Taxation, said that closure of the park does not affect the budget revenues of the province.

Built in 2007 on an area of 700 hectares in the city of Thu Dau Mot, Binh Duong, Dai Nam Van Hien is one of the largest and most famous tourist destinations in the south, with a total initial investment of VND6 trillion ($300 million). Many works in the park have been recognized as national records.

Along with the closure announcement, the park will open for free from now until November 9. After the statement was made, thousands of people have flocked to the park.

Dai Nam is crowded before its temporary closure:
