VietNamNet Bridge – Railway guard Nguyen Thi Nhan, an expectant mother six months into her pregnancy, received a letter of compliment on Monday from Transport Minister Dinh La Thang for saving a child who was standing too close to the railway as a train was about to pass.

Thang said he was very happy and moved to learn of Nhan's bravery and hoped there would be more examples like her in the traffic sector.

The incident occurred in Hue on October 20.
