VietNamNet Bridge – President Truong Tan Sang had talks with voters from the municipal Fatherland Front Committee and more than 200 voters from District 4 on Saturday.

Voters from the city's Fatherland Front Committee highly valued the results of the NA's third session with the issuance of the two important resolutions on the renewal of the National Assembly's operation as well as Q&A session.

Voters from District 4 expressed their satisfaction at deputies' debates which helped various important and practical laws come into being.

They also appreciated the State's role in maintaining the national stability and socio-economic development of the past six months.

However, many voters pointed out shortcomings in the administration and management of the State and the operations of the National Assembly.

They mentioned the loss of tens of trillions of dong from the State budget for large corporations, proven by the latest scandal of Vinalines. There were no satisfactory answer regarding the responsibility and resolution of this problem, they stressed.

They asked the National Assembly to strengthen its supervisory role on the State apparatus and review human-related issues to create confidence and trust among people.

Lawyer Truong Thi Hoa from the city's Bar Association said the National Assembly should promote its supervisory authority, especially in monitoring issues related to the people's legitimate rights, especially those concerning their livelihood and democracy.

At the talks, President Sang affirmed the need to constantly improve the quality of the National Assembly's operation to implement its legislative and monitoring functions.

Sang affirmed that the upcoming vote of confidence implementation, a new and important mechanism, increase the NA's role.
