VietNamNet Bridge – President Truong Tan Sang received the new ambassadors to Viet Nam from both Poland and China in Ha Noi yesterday, May 19.

Polish Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska said she hoped the two countries would work closely in joint activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.

She said Polish businesses were keen on tapping into the Vietnamese market, expressing her belief that enterprise partnerships would enable a significant boost to bilateral trade.

Szymanowska also noted that the Polish President highly valued Viet Nam's role and was planning to pay a visit to the country soon.

President Sang said the Party, State and people of Viet Nam would always remember Poland's contribution during their past struggle for independence.

He said that Viet Nam treasured its traditional friendship with Poland, adding that the two sides needed to coordinate more closely to make the most of opportunities to cooperate, particularly in trade and investment.

Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador Hong Xiao Yong pledged his utmost to boost the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and China, to foster mutual development and contribute to maintaining peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

President Sang also emphasised Viet Nam's consistent policy of prioritising the friendly neighbourliness and affiliation with China.

He also said he hoped Hong would do more to aid the friendship and comprehensive partnership between the two countries in the future.
