VietNamNet Bridge - Valuable and important works of Vietnam’s contemporary art were recently displayed at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. This is a collection of a Thai artist, Tira Vanichtheeranont.

The works introduced at the exhibition are the paintings by famous artists who laid the foundation for Vietnam’s art, such as To Ngoc Van, Tran Van Can, Nguyen Sang and Bui Xuan Phai.

The exhibition gave the viewer the sense of life through the outline of talented artists. The paintings also show social issues in each drawing style.

The exhibition included more than 50 works, notably the illustrations of Truyen Kieu (The Tales of Kieu), with 13 color wood carvings, made by 13 artists of the Indochina Fine Arts College from 1942.
