VietNamNet Bridge - The Government Office has delivered a written notice of the Prime Minister to direct the investigation of some websites that posted information against the Party and the State.

After considering the reports on June 15 and July 9, of the Ministry of Public Security; dispatch dated June 29 of the Ministry of Information and Communications; dispatch dated September 7 of the Central Information and Education Committee and report on September 7 of the Party Central Office about the post of slandering, fabricated and distorted information to blacken the country’s leaders, to incite against the Party and the State, to cause doubt and create bad publicity in society on some websites like "Dan Lam Bao", "Quan Lam Bao", "Bien Dong," the Prime Minister concluded that this is the sinister tricks of the enemy forces.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Ministry of Information, Communications and relevant agencies to direct the investigation, strictly deal with organizations and individuals who violate the law.

The Ministry of Information and Communications is assigned to collaborate with the Central Information and Education Committee to direct agencies to provide objective and accurate information about the present situation of the country, especially the issues of public concern; coordinate with the relevant agencies to strictly handle wrong information. The Ministry is instructed to urgently submit the decree on the management, provision and use of Internet services and online information.

The Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, the Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam Television (VOV), the Voice of Vietnam radio (VOV), the e-Government Portal, the mass media agencies to provide information timely, accurately and take initiative in rejecting false and distorted information against the Party and the State.

Ministries and state agencies must instruct their officials and public servants to not read, use, spread and disseminate information posted on these sites.
