The launching event of “Cities for People,” a book written by Professor Jan Gehl, will take place at AGOhub in Hanoi on March 20 and at Thu Bay Café in HCMC on March 22.

“Cities for People” is a very famous and valuable book summarizing more than 40 years of Professor Jan Gehl’s activities for the cities for people, helping transforming urban environment around the world based on studying the ways people use the space where they live and work. In Vietnam, with a high urbanization rate, architects and researchers have been paying special attention to this issue.

The book has been published in 37 languages all over the world. In Vietnam, its translation and publishing rights have been granted to Ashui.com.

Professor Jan Gehl will join the book launching event to meet with readers. The event is supported by the Denmark Embassy.

Professor Jan Gehl is a Danish architect and urban design consultant whose career has focused on improving the quality of urban life by re-orienting city designs towards the pedestrians and cyclists.
