From March 31 to April 2, 2026, the ProPak Vietnam 2026 exhibition will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

During the event, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association (UCIMA), will present an exhibition area featuring 15 leading Italian companies specializing in food processing and packaging machinery. The companies will be located at booths nr. AL1-5, AL7-16, AL19 in Hall A2.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with Italian manufacturers of food processing and packaging equipment and explore a wide range of packaging solutions. These include processing, filling, capping, and both primary and secondary packaging systems for various industries such as food processing, beverages, confectionery, agriculture, personal care and cosmetics, as well as transportation systems and end-of-line equipment.

For Vietnamese businesses, the exhibition offers a valuable chance to stay updated on the latest trends and access advanced packaging technologies, helping optimize production processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

The Italian packaging machinery industry is currently experiencing strong growth while maintaining a leading position globally.

In 2024, industry revenue reached a record €10 billion (approximately US$10.8 billion), with exports accounting for around 80 percent of total revenue. The European Union remains the largest market, followed by Asia, non-EU Europe, North America, and Central and South America. The top three export destinations are the United States, France and Germany.

This leadership, built over many years by Italian manufacturers of automatic packaging and wrapping machines, is supported by several core strengths. These include a high technological and quality standard in machinery design, strong customization capabilities and production flexibility, reliable after-sales services across global markets, and a competitive balance between quality and price.

Italy is also a pioneer in developing eco-friendly packaging solutions that help businesses meet ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards.

With a strong commitment to sustainability and minimizing environmental impact, Italian packaging machinery manufacturers continue to improve production processes, increase the use of recycled materials, and develop reusable packaging solutions.

Alongside technological innovation, the Italian packaging industry is also investing heavily in building a global technical support network.

Italian machinery manufacturers maintain robust customer service systems that allow clients to easily maintain, upgrade and optimize equipment performance. Continuous technical support helps businesses increase productivity while minimizing downtime in production lines.

Over the years, ITA has organized Italian pavilions at ProPak Vietnam, attracting the participation of many Italian companies and creating opportunities for cooperation and market expansion.

The event allows Italian businesses not only to connect with partners in Vietnam but also to strengthen their brand presence across Southeast Asia, opening new prospects for collaboration and sustainable growth.

The packaging industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in Vietnam, with a projected annual growth rate of 15-20 percent in the coming years, according to Vietnam Briefing.

This expansion is driven by rapid economic and social development, the rapid rise of e-commerce, and a network of free trade agreements that boost both domestic retail consumption and international exports.

ProPak Vietnam 2026 is expected to be a pivotal event, showcasing advanced packaging technologies while further strengthening trade connections between Italy and Vietnamese businesses.
