Under this plan, government officials, civil servants, and public employees would have time off from Saturday, January 25, 2025, to Sunday, February 2, 2025.
This extended break includes 5 official days of leave and 4 additional weekend days.
The proposal is currently under review by several ministries. Once the evaluation process is complete, it will be submitted to the Prime Minister for final approval.
According to MOLISA’s plan, the break would provide workers with 2 days off before the Lunar New Year and 3 days after, giving them sufficient time to celebrate the Tet holiday with their families.
