VietNamNet Bridge – Last week HCM City police caught in the act four foreigners with prostitutes at a beauty salon in Tan Binh District, HCM City, from which they have detected a prostitution network serving foreigners only.

At 10pm on July 10, HCM City police and social-cultural inspectors made an administrative examination at Hoa Lan Spa on Tran Quoc Hoan Road, Ward 4, Tan Binh District.
At four rooms of this spa, the functional forces caught four pairs performing acts of prostitution.
A total of 15 people were named in the report, including the spa owner Bui Thanh Cuc, the spa manager Bui Thanh Lan, a security guard, six prostitutes, six foreign men (from several Asian countries) and a driver who took foreign men to the spa.
On July 12, Lan and Cuc were arrested while others were fined.
Cuc declared that she rented the house at No. 109 Tran Quoc Hoan to open a spa from early April 2013. She hired over 10 young girls from the Mekong Delta provinces to work for the spa. In fact, they worked as prostitutes and were not paid monthly wages.
Cuc designed the first floor as a hairdresser but the second floor was the place for prostitution. The spa opened from 10 am to 10pm, serving dozens of customers every day, mostly foreigners.
Whoremasters had to pay VND500,000 ($25), plus VND200,000 for room rent. Cuc said she earned VND3 million a day.
At the Trang Duc Hotel, No. 120/6 Le Lai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, the police caught two prostitutes with two whoremasters who are foreigners. Expanding the investigation, the police questioned 19 people, including five pimps, 10 prostitutes and some motorbike taxi drivers.
Police are investigating the cases.
