Coming to Pu Mat in summer, visitors will have a marvelous opportunity to admire breathtaking and picturesque scenes and to row on romantic Giang river.

Covering 194,000ha, Pu Mat National Park lies on the eastern side of Truong Son mountain range and spreads across three districts of Nghe An province –Tuong Duong, Con Cuong and Anh Son.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the Thai ethnic minority language, Pu means a mountain peak. Pu Mat which is the highest mountain in the region (1,841m) is named for the national park.

Pu Mat National Park is home to many rare and special plant and animal species, including century-old trees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kem waterfall is in the middle of a high mountain and thick forest. The waterfall seems more formidable and powerful when you get closer to it. The stream and ponds might not be big enough to accommodate hundreds of visitors at a time, but they are really ideal for a small group to swim in or take photos right at the foot of the waterfall as rainbows shimmer in the background. 

 

 

 

 

Visitors should not miss renowned landscape like Khe Kem waterfall, Oc cave, Mo Vit ground or walk on the thick forest.

 

 

 

 

Visitors can fish on Giang River.

 

 

 

 

Pu Mat National Park has 2,494 plant species, including 37 in Vietnam red book and 20 in international red book and 241 animal species.

 

 

 

 

Visitors will have a chance to taste traditional dishes of Thai ethnic minority people.
