When guided by a clear mission and goals, they will be more motivated in work and life.
“Brands with purpose grow, companies with purpose last, people with purpose thrive”. That is Unilever’s belief in a pursuit of sustainable business and people development.
Unilever has proven the purpose-led business model drives superior performance. This is underpinned by people who play fundamental role in actualizing the company’s vision and mission.
Therefore, regarding its strategy of developing and managing people and talents, Unilever Vietnam always focuses on human resource development towards sustainable development through integrating the implementation of good missions in the people development roadmap.
When you work at Unilever you can bring your own purpose to life through the work that you do.
For example, when working with personal care brands like Lifebuoy or P/S, they are helping to improve hygiene and health conditions for people. When working with beauty brands like Dove or Sunsilk, they are not only helping people take care of their beauty, but above all, gaining the confidence to conquer challenges in work and life. Or when working with home care brands such as Sunlight, they are contributing to promoting women's empowerment through the program "Women do business" implemented by this brand.
There are many other opportunities for employees to bring their own goals to life, thereby participating in promoting the corporate mission to "make sustainable living commonplace" in Vietnam and all over the planet.
Employees at Unilever also have the opportunity to work and develop with innovation and digitization, which help develop themselves to become a better version and have enough knowledge and skills to conquer challenges and keep up with changes in the future. Each employee is a great force in promoting sustainable development of the business and helping improve the planet and society.
On this journey, the Human Resources Department at Unilever Vietnam plays an important role in raising employee awareness and calling for action on sustainable development, connecting employee engagement activities with sustainability programs to create a greater impact.
Typically, during Company Community Days, employees and their families can participate in sustainable activities of brands, such as planting trees with OMO, cleaning school toilets with Vim, washing room hands with Lifebuoy, or cook healthy meals for kids with Knorr.
With the efforts, Unilever Vietnam’s Human Resources Department was honored to receive the highest award in the "Best HR for Sustainability" category at the Vietnam HR Awards this November. This is a great source of motivation for the enterprise to further promote their human resource strategy towards contributing to the sustainable development of the business and the country.
“Unilever Vietnam has gained impressive achievements at this awards season thanks to its pioneering strategies and innovative initiatives in line with the actual situation, to continue the journey to build a healthy, mission-driven workforce and promoting employee awareness and empowerment. Those contribute to building and fostering Vietnam's talent pool,” said Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh, Standing Deputy Head of the Vietnam HR Awards 2022 Organising Board, the Founder and CEO of Talentnet.
