On her 23rd birthday, Lan, born in HCM City, now lives in the US, posted images showing off her special family. She is one of the quadruplets born by IVF in 2001.

Many netizens have shown their admiration to Lan’s parents and praised the love among the four girls.

“In childhood, we caught special attention anywhere we went. From kindergarten to high school in Vietnam, we were the only quadruplets,” Lan said.

All four girls now live and study in the US. Lan often surprises her friends when revealing that she is one of the quadruplets.

Lan’s father is a doctor at the HCM City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and her mother is a singer. Her parents tried to conceive naturally for many years, but failed. In 2001, at the age of 35, they decided to use IVF.

At first, the mother was informed that she was carrying triplets. After some thoughts, the couple decided to keep all three despite risks.

However, in the fifth month of the pregnancy, doctors discovered that the mother was carrying quadruplets. And all four, Pham Nguyen Linh Mai, Pham Nguyen Linh Lan, Pham Nguyen Linh Cuc and Pham Nguyen Linh Truc, were born on a special day in October 2021.

Lan has finished her studies in finance and has got a job. Mai is studying information system management, Cuc plans to become a dentist, and Truc is studying graphic design in the US.

They live in the same state but far from each other. They can only meet on holidays. However, they can talk with each other and update information in a chat group on social networks.

Their memorable childhood

Lan said all of them often contracted diseases at the same time when they were small. At that time, her parents hired five home help and babysitters, but her parents were still overloaded.

“I never feel lonely because I always have my sisters together with me,” Lan said.

To feed the four daughters, their parents had to work hard. “They are super-heroes in my eyes,” Lan said.

She said the parents always supported the daughters to pursue their dreams and encouraged them to learn singing, dancing, music and painting. Of the four, Lan has inherited the mother’s passion for singing.

As the daughters now live and study in the US, their mother has left for the US to take care of the children, while the father has stayed in Vietnam.
