VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam's top player Do Minh Quan is among 42 players who will square off at the fourth HCM City Open Men's Tennis Championships that begins tomorrow, April 19.

The Tanimex Cup, whose field will include 10 players from Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, and Cambodia, will offer a total prize money of VND250 million (US$12,000).


The singles winner will pocket $3,000 and the doubles winner, $2,000.


The other prominent players include Viet Nam's Hoang Thanh Trung and Le Quoc Khanh and Thai No 2 Niroj Pongsiri who is appearing for the third time.


Viet Nam's best young player Nguyen Hoang Thien will not play because he is training in Italy at the moment.


Little is known about the Cambodian and Indonesian players at the event.


Besides professionals, the tournament will also have events for semi-professionals and amateurs.


Last year Indonesians dominated the professional competition, winning both singles and doubles events.
