On January 18, Quang Binh Tourism Department Head Ho An Phong revealed his province’s intention to sign a US$45,000 contract with TripAdvisor aiming to promote the local tourism industry in the time ahead.
The two-year contract is within Quang Binh’s tourism promotion activities to attract more foreign visitors.
Google has recently agreed to advertise 10 video clips for free to introduce Quang Binh tourism to international visitors.
In addition, the department has got a copyright license from Hollywood filmmakers to erect statues of King Kong monster’s arms in the film ‘Kong: Skull Island’.
Quang Binh also plans to run tours related to ‘Kong: Skull Island’ film by taking visitors to a film studio where they can see King Kong arms.
This year, the province’s tourism sector aims to welcome 3 million visitors, grossing roughly VND3,000 billion in revenue.
