Currently, there are 70 H're households engaged in brocade weaving.

The milestone marking the strong return of the weaving profession in Teng village, Ba Thanh commune, Ba To district, Quang Ngai province was the launch of the State-invested project to preserve and promote the cultural value of Teng village with a fund of 10.5 billion VND in 2019. At the same time, the local authorities prepared a dossier to request recognition of Teng village's weaving craft as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This was also the time when social networks developed strongly, when young girls in the village began promoting products of their families on Facebook. Gradually, Teng village brocade became a "hot" keyword in Quang Ngai province. Many young people have returned to the village to develop the traditional profession.

Besides traditional handicraft products such as shirts, dresses, and scarves, H're brocade products are now extremely diverse, with handbags, ties, Vietnamese ao dai, wedding outfits, innovative items... All of the items are made uniquely and suit modern tastes, while still retains almost the original colors, patterns...

Young artisans have also improved brocade into trendy products such as skirts, tank tops, slit dresses... to meet market requirements. Ties, scarves, and tablecloths made from H're brocade have been chosen by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province as gifts and promoted to many countries such as Switzerland, Italy, England, Germany...

According to Mr. Pham Van Thuoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Thanh commune, Teng village has established a weaving group that meets monthly at the cultural house to share weaving experiences and collaborate on making products for customers. As a result, more women in Teng village have known how to weave. Currently, there are 70 H're households doing brocade weaving in the village.

In recent years, women of Teng village have been invited to attend many traditional craft village festivals. The local government has also proposed to the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai province and Ba To District People's Committee to use the name Teng village to register for protection of the collective trademark of Teng Village Brocade Weaving.
