VietNamNet Bridge – The champion of the Design Star 2013 competition introduced a 'couture' collection on the last night of the Vietnam Spring Summer Fashion Week on December 10.

Quang Nhat said, the summer always leaves strong impression of the childhood on him and it inspired him to create a collection with childhood games of cheerful colors.

The materials Nhat used in this collection were very special, composed of two layers. One layer was composed of natural fibers, treated specially to glow orange. The second layer was made from waterproof polyester fibers. The two layers are combined to form a material that can be compatible with the skin and be waterproof.

Explaining the couture nature of this collection, the young designer said: "In my view, today couture fashion is not only made by hand, but it also shows lifestyles, ideas and special techniques."

However, Nhat's designs were criticized by the audience, who said that this is not couture fashion.
