At a conference announcing the province's strategic development plans on June 30, Quang Ninh approved investment policies and granted investment registration certificates for 18 projects with a combined value of nearly VND45 trillion (US$1.7 billion).

The projects span industrial park infrastructure, urban development, logistics, energy, manufacturing, tourism, high-tech agriculture and port infrastructure, creating new growth opportunities and expanding the province's long-term development potential.
Among the largest investments is an expansion of the Smart Entertainment Products project by EV Foxconn Energy & Components Vietnam Co., Ltd., which received approval to increase its investment by more than VND9.2 trillion (US$354 million).
Several major industrial park developments also received investment approval, including VSIP Quang Ninh with more than VND5.8 trillion (US$223 million), Green Bay Tech with VND5.7 trillion (US$219 million), Bach Dang 2 Industrial Park with nearly VND4.8 trillion ( US$185 million), Quang Yen Coastal Industrial Park with VND3.74 trillion (US$144 million), and An Hung Quang Ninh Industrial Park with more than VND3 trillion (US$115 million).
In addition to industrial and industrial park infrastructure projects, Quang Ninh approved investments for wind power, urban development, logistics, commercial facilities, eco-tourism, organic agriculture, timber processing and aquaculture projects in the Co To Special Zone.
The simultaneous announcement of the province's strategic plans and the approval of major investment projects reflects Quang Ninh's determination to turn development plans into reality by translating long-term strategies into tangible projects.
The move also sends a strong message about the province's transparent and dynamic investment environment, reinforcing Quang Ninh's appeal to domestic and international investors.
Following the conference, Quang Ninh also broke ground on a social housing project for rental in Uong Bi Ward and a centralized aquaculture project in the Co To Special Zone, putting the newly announced development plans into action.
