VietNamNet Bridge - Police in Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province imposed a VND3 million (nearly $150) fine on a man who allowed his son to drive a truck.

The police are keeping the vehicle, owned by Dang Van Quy, a resident in Ka Long Ward, Mong Cai for 7 days.

Quy was fined after a 3-minute video clip was uploaded on the internet on September 3. It featured a boy sitting in an adult's lap, controlling the steering wheel of a truck running on the street of Mong Cai.

After being informed of the video, the police of Mong Cai launched an investigation and identified the people in the video as  Quy and his 6-year-old son.

On September 4, the police summoned Quy to the police station to punish him for the violation.

According to Quy, the incident took place on the morning of September 9, on the road from the school to his home. The boy who held the steering wheel is Quy’s second son, a 1st grader. His elder son shot the video.
