VietNamNet Bridge - Police in the northern province of Quang Ninh have suspended seven officers who were involved in a video clip showing some of them humiliating two prostitutes they found with a man in a hotel room.

A clip shot in an unidentified location posted on YouTube a few days ago shows a tattooed man and two naked girls who try to cover themselves with their hands while the policemen yell insults at them.

Investigations by Ministry of Public Security police found the clip was shot in Cam Pha Town, Quang Ninh Province during a raid to the hotel by the seven officers in June.

One of the officers captured the scenes in his mobile phone, the police said.

In the clip, one of the girls sits on the bed and writes a report while still naked, while an officer in plain clothes repeatedly shouts at the other to stand up and extend her arms for him to take a picture.

Two other officers write something and all three say humiliating things to the women, making them cry.

After the clip was posted on the internet, many people wrote to newspapers demanding that the police ministry punish the “uncouth” policemen.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Le The Tiem told Tuoi Tre the behavior of the police officers was wrongful, and that he would require Quang Ninh police to report about this.

A lawyer of the Hanoi Bar Association who requested anonymity said their acts were both legally and morally unacceptable.
