VietNamNet Bridge - Da Nang FC’s midfielder Quoc Anh received the award at the Vietnam Golden Ball 2012 award ceremony held in HCM City last night, May 7.

To win the title for the first time, Quoc Anh excellently passed Tan Tai (Hai Phong club), Minh Phuong (Da Nang), Van Decision (Ha Noi T & T) and Trong Hoang (Song Lam Nghe An - SLNA).
 
The annual award was voted on by journalists and experts. According to the voting results, Quoc Anh has a total of 254 points. Tan Tai, who was presented the Silver Ball, gained 169 points while veteran Minh Phuong ranked 3rd with 110 points to receive the Bronze Ball.
 
"I am very proud and happy to be receiving this prestigious title. I would like to thank the coaching board, the teachers and the teammates who helped me a lot. I had to take a detour to today’s award. I would like to dedicate this title to my family," Quoc Anh said at the ceremony.
 
In the women's award, goalkeeper Kieu Trinh had the absolute winner with a score of 465. This is the second time she won the title. With 131 voting points, Le Thi Thuong of Vinacomin received the Silver Ball and the Bronze Ball belongs to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Hanoi).

The Golden Ball trophy granted to Kieu Trinh the second time is not a surprise. In 2012, the goalkeeper of HCM City FC had excellent performances in the Southeast Asian Women’s Championship and won the Best Female Player of Southeast Asia.
