VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese striker Nguyen Van Quyet has been officially named captain of the men’s football team at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.

The final decision was decided by the players and coach, Park Hang-seo.

This is not the first time the 27-year-old has been made captain. He was also captain of Olympic Viet Nam at Asiad 2018.

According to his teammates, Quyet deserves to be the captain again, given what he has contributed to his country’s football success.

Midfielder Luong Xuan Truong and defender Que Ngoc Hai have been appointed vice captains.

The first qualifying match between Vietnam and Laos in Group A at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 will be held on November 8.
