Central and south-central Viet Nam will cool down after days of hot weather with forecasted rain and storms today.

In another movement, tropical storm Linfa, which struck the Philippines' Luzon Island yesterday, is set to move northwest. By 1 p.m. today, its centre is predicted to be at 19.4 north and 120 east, with wind speeds of 75 to 90kph.

The storm will hit the northwest East Sea at wind speeds of 60 to 75kph. On the ocean from Binh Thuan Province to Ca Mau Province, wind speeds will rise to 49kph. Rough seas are expected.
