The clinic offers a five-day training program for participants aged between seven and 17 under the guidance of UEFA certificated coaches and trainers for Real Madrid FC’s youth team.
The program, which is based on the current regime in Real Madrid youth development program, consists of not only soccer skills and tactics but also social skills and civil ethics such as leadership, teamwork and solidarity.
Speaking of the clinic, Lionel Wong, CEO of Foundation Real Madrid Ho Chi Minh, says that, through the passion for soccer, they aim to teach children important skills that will help them advance. Qualities such as team play, discipline, independence and respect cannot be sufficiently inspired by only sitting in class rooms.
With the assistance of the Movenpick Hotel Saigon, the foundation also promises to offer 20 to 30 slots in the program along with Real Madrid uniforms to physically impaired children from Mai Am Tre Xanh (green bamboo shelter) project.
The foundation may consider extending the program to participants aged between 18 and 25.
The “Foundation Real Madrid Football Clinic 2014” provides a level of coaching that is rarely accessible in Asia and aims to enhance children’s health through sports and pedagogy. Participants will be trained by Real Madrid FC’s personnel in authentic Real Madrid way of playing soccer.
Fee for each participant is US$400 to 450. Sign-up information can be found at www.frmhcm.com.
