VietNamNet Bridge – HCMC-based Saigon Classical Music Group will introduce its latest program “The Red Steinway Concert” at the HCMC Conservatory of Music Friday night, at 7 p.m.

Viewers can enjoy some masterpieces by Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Schubert, Verdi, and Rogers. In the first half of the program, pianist Ho Khanh Van will perform a Piano Sonata K.330, Allegro moderato by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a Prelude Op. 23 No. 5 by Sergei Rachmaninoff while pianist Nguyen Gia Dang will play Claude Debussy’s Arabesque No. 1 and Gabriel Fauré’s Barcarolle No. 1.
Artists Nguyen Luan Du, Nguyen Hong Hanh and Nguyen Lu Hiep will respectively play Frédéric Chopin’s: Scherzo No. 3 Op. 39, Francis Poulenc’s Trois mouvements perpétuels and Frédéric Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 Op. 23.
In the second half, the program will feature Frédéric Chopin’s Etude Op. 10 No. 4, No. 5 & No. 12 and Franz Schubert’s and Franz Liszt’s Clara Zelle: Ständchen performed by Bui Vu Nguyet Minh, the youngest member of the Saigon Classical Music Group.
Tran Yen Nhi plays three pieces – “Konzertetüde “Gnomenreigen” by Franz Liszt, Etude Op. 10 No. 8 by Frédéric Chopin and Dumka Op. 59 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Giuseppe Verdi’s and Franz Liszt’s Paraphrase de concert sur Rigoletto, S.434 played by Nguyen Son Ban Phuong and Franz Liszt’s Les cloches de Genève and Richard Rogers’ and Stephen Hough’s the Carousel Waltz by Nguyen Nhat Quy will wrap up the show.

The organizer, Saigon Classic Music Group established in 2005 to nurture the love of classical music among young artists and enthusiasts, is also calling on spectators to donate a minimum of VND50,000 per person at the event to help cover expenses for upcoming concerts.
