This vibrant city continually reinvents itself, offering tourists fresh attractions that make them want to return again and again.

According to a report from the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the typical trip to Da Nang lasts around 3-4 nights. The city boasts the highest rate of returning visitors among Vietnamese destinations, with over 50% of surveyed tourists having previously visited.

This success is attributed to Da Nang's "golden factors" for tourism: natural beauty, friendly locals, modern infrastructure, and iconic landmarks. A key reason for its popularity is the city's continual introduction of new experiences, encouraging tourists to return time and again.

A new culinary hotspot of the world

Da Nang has recently joined the ranks of global culinary destinations with the introduction of the Michelin Guide in June 2024. Following its success in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the Michelin Guide now highlights Da Nang's culinary scene, featuring 19 selected dining establishments, including two Michelin-starred restaurants.

The city’s culinary highlights include Michelin-selected spots such as Banh Xeo Ba Duong, Bun Cha Ca Ba Hoa, and Mi Quang Co Sau. Bib Gourmand accolades were awarded to local favorites like Bun Cha Ca Hon and Thia Go.

The turning point for Da Nang's cuisine is the recognition of two Michelin-starred restaurants. La Maison 1888, located in the renowned InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, has earned one star for its exquisite French cuisine, masterfully incorporating local ingredients.

The restaurant has been featured in CNN's top 10 best restaurants in the world. Diners can also enjoy the expertise of Toan Nguyen, honored in the Sommelier Awards by the Michelin Guide.

Notably, 2024 marks the first time a Vietnamese restaurant has received the prestigious Michelin Green Star, awarded to Nen Danang.

With these achievements, Da Nang is poised to become a culinary hotspot, akin to how the Michelin Guide has elevated Hanoi’s food scene to international acclaim.

The largest puppet theatre in Central Vietnam

Besides experiencing the unique colors and diverse art forms in the Symphony of River, visitors to Da Nang can also explore Vietnamese culture at the largest puppet theater in Central Vietnam, Au O Theatre.

The theater's name is inspired by the lullabies sung by Vietnamese mothers. This venue offers tourists the opportunity to experience the essence of Vietnamese culture without having to travel to Hanoi, as the 'Vietnamese Puppet Show' at Au O Theatre is performed by artists from the National Vietnam Puppet Theatre in Hanoi.
