PM Nguyen Tan Dung will lead a Vietnamese delegation to join the World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia 2014 and officially visit the Philippines from May 21-23.

The PM’s Philippine trip is made at the invitation of Philippine President Benigno Aquino and Founder and Executive Chairman of WEF Klaus Schwab.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung will deliver a speech at an opening ceremony of the forum themed “Leveraging Growth for Equitable Progress”.

PM Dung will hold talks with the Philippine President and meet with other Philippine high-ranking officials.  

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan will attend the 4th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit in Shanghai from May 20-22.

The CICA, established in 1992 under the initiative of Kazakhstan’s President Nazarbayev, aims to promote cooperation between member countries to deal with common issues in Asia.

With the theme “increasing dialogue, mutual trust and collaboration to build a new Asia that is peaceful, stable and cooperative”, Vice President Doan will deliver a speech at the summit.

Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam will attend the 20thInternational Conference on the Future of Asia on May 22-23 in Tokyo, Japan.

The Vietnamese delegation will discuss challenges to the development of Asia, measures to accelerate the Viet Nam-Japan extensive strategic partnership and policies for the national development.
