FPT Shop will close shops from noon February 9 (the last day of the Year of the Cat) and open on February 13, or the fourth day of the New Year of the Dragon. However, during the Tet holiday, customers still can place orders online on its website and FPT Shop will deliver products as soon as it reopens.

Long Chau drugstore chain, also owned by FPT, said that all of its 239 stores in the country will be open on Tet days. Only a few Long Chau drugstores will close, from noon February 9 and reopen on February 13.

Meanwhile, store chains of The Gioi Di Dong JSC, including The Gioi   (Mobile Wold), which sells mobile phones, and Dien May Xanh, which sells home appliances, and TopZone will close from February 9-13.

Bach Hoa Xanh stores will reopen later than other chains. Some will resume operation on February 14, and the remaining stores on February 15.

An Khang drug store chain of The Gioi   will be closed from February 9-15, the same as AVAKids chain. However, The Gioi Di Dong’s media executive said the chains will still be selling online during Tet.

CellPhoneS’s 28 out of 115 stores in 30 cities and provinces will be open during Tet holiday, while the remaining will be closed from February 9-14.

Di Dong Viet’s five stores in HCM City and one in Hanoi will also be open through Tet, while the other stores will close from February 9-14.

The chain is running an attractive sale promotion program which began on February 5 to February 7, including big discounts of up to VND10 million on smartphones, MacBooks and tablets.

As for Minh Tuan Mobile, all the stores of the chain will serve customers until February 8, while four branches in districts 1, Binh Thanh, 10, and Go Vap will be open through the Tet holiday.

The chain has lowered prices of many products, including iPhones, MacBooks, AirPods and iPads, by VND200,000-500,000.

Some retailers told VietNamNet that revenue has been lower than in the same period last year.
