Organised by the Cinematography Department in collaboration with film studios and localities’ Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is also to mark the 125th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh.
Screened films during the month will include feature films: “Duong xuyen rung” (Roads through the forest), “Nhung dua con cua lang” (the children of the village); “Thau Chin o Xiem” (Thau Chin in Thailand); “Nhin ra bien ca” (Looking to the sea); “Tieng khen” (the sound of flute); and the documentary film “Dinh cao chien thang” (the peak of victory).
According to Ngo Phuong Lan, Head of the Department, audiences throughout the country will enjoy cinematographic works with deeply human cultural values which truthfully reflect the great sacrifice of Vietnamese generations during the country’s resistance wars.
The event is expected to contribute to popularising the nation’s history and culture, Lan stressed.
