Beating 180 others from 45 universities, colleges and vocational training schools nationwide, these teams will compete for a trophy and a berth at the Asian-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) which is scheduled for August this year in Vietnam.

This year’s contest sends out a message of preserving the green on earth, promoting the role of each country as well as each individual in building a green world for all.

Apart from the widely-acclaimed teams, like Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Hanoi University of Technology, new faces such as Hai Duong University, People’s Police University of Technology and Logistics and Hanoi Industrial Vocational College will promisingly heat up this year’s game.

On the sidelines of the competition, there is 2013 Robocon Tech-show, which aims to stimulate students to create highly practical hi-tech products.

Robocon Vietnam 2013, the 12th of its kind, is co-organised by the Toyota Motors Vietnam and Vietnam Television. It will close on May 12.

The Vietnam robocon team ranked second and third at the ABU Robocon 2012 and 2011, respectively.
