VietNamNet Bridge - On November 21, a bomb and mine clearance team of the Ministry of Defense unexpectedly found a big rocket in a rice field in Phong Hao village in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.





The rocket is nearly one ton in weight, 0.8m in diameter, over 2m long. It was underground at a depth of 2 m.

After determining the location, experts of the Bomb and Mine Clearance Center safely removed the item.

The site where the rocket was detected used to be the site of bombardment during the Vietnam War, in 1967-1972.

On October 28, this team also found a rocket of 3m long, weighing 700kg in a field in Nghi Thach commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.
