Solarz had a time of 3.17.46 minutes to win the men's trophy on the rainy Sunday morning.

Richard Leech from South Africa came in second, at 3.26.44min, ahead of Quach Ky of Viet Nam, who came in third at 3.28.30min.

In the women's 42km race, Pasiciel finished first at 4.19.04min, beating Nicola Fuller and Vietnamese Huyen Tran.

"It's the first time I've raced in the central region of Viet Nam, and it was a very nice track, with beautiful grass and gardens," said Pasiciel.

"I wish to race again in the region."

The race snaked its ways through the resort, hotels and world-class golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo.

In the half marathon, Vietnamese Le Tan Lam and Vo Thi Hai Yen won the men's and women's titles.

Yen, 39, from HCM City, who joined the race with her husband and two sons, also came in second in the women's 10km race on Saturday.

Also, Nguyen Hoai Phong and Huynh Thi Diem of Viet Nam finished first in the men's and women's 10km race, respectively.

The organising committee also hosted a 5km race to raise funds for a clean water project for 760 students at Loc Tien Primary School in Phu Loc District, and 10km, 5km and 2km races for children.

The race drew over 400 athletes from the US, the UK, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Malaysia, Taiwan and Viet Nam.
