Vietnam and Russia in Moscow on June 2 signed a memorandum of understanding on human resource training for the peaceful nuclear industry under the framework of the ongoing 7th ATOMEXPO International Forum.

Accordingly, from now to 2020, Russia will help Vietnam train nuclear experts, develop legal foundations for the nuclear energy, and prepare personnel for implementing nuclear projects in Vietnam in terms of infrastructure, technical management, technology and communications.

Hoang Anh Tuan, General Director of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology said the signing of the MoU is another step in realising the Vietnam-Russia inter-governmental agreement on carrying out the nuclear power project in Vietnam.

Up to now, Russia’s Rosatom Group has provided training for 350 Vietnamese students at nuclear technical universities in the country. Now it will help train Vietnamese nuclear experts.

ATOMEXPO International Forum which is the largest exhibition venue for meetings and negotiations between world leaders of the nuclear power sector is being held on June 1-3, 2015 in Moscow in Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Center at 4 Ulitsa Ilyinka.
