VietNamNet Bridge – A delegation from Russian-based Far East Federal University (FEFU) will pay a working visit to Vietnam from May 28 to June 8 including a meeting with Bui Van Ga, deputy minister of Education and Training.

During the visit, FEFU is expected to sign agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with leading universities in Vietnam. They will meet representatives from leading educational institutions in Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Hanoi, FEFU will meet Bui van Ga to reach accords on the strategic cooperation in the spheres of science and education.

Currently joint language internship programs that enable students from both countries to practice the language of the hosting country are being actively realized in cooperation with Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Besides, FEFU will pay a visit to Vietsovpetro Company, a Russian-Vietnamese oil joint venture, in the southern city of Vung Tau.
FEFU has built up partnerships with Da Nang University in the sphere of machine building and nanotechnologies. Since December 2011 joint effort and research on APR’s developing foodstuffs from animal and vegetable-based foodstuffs has been done in cooperation with Nha Trang University.

The visit has been organized with the support of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Vladivostok with which FEFU has been cooperating since 2000 when Vietnam culture and education center was opened on the basis of the University.

The construction of the center is to develop all-round cooperation between the two countries.

FEFU is one of the federal universities which are to form the elite of the Russian higher education.
