Saigon Classical Music Group will come back with a free-entrance Springtime Melodies concert at 7 p.m. on April 30 at Edenstar Hotel in HCMC’s District 1.

Violinist Lam Hoai Bao and piano accompanist Le Hoa Phong Lan will open the show by Fritz Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro in the Style of Pugnani.

It is followed by the performance of one of the youngest pianists of the group, Ho Khanh Van via several renowned pieces of George Frideric Handel’s Suite in B-flat major, HWV 434; Johann Sebastian Bach’s Italienisches Konzert, BWV 971, III. Presto; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Sonata In C, K.330, I. Allegro Moderato; Frédéric Chopin’s Étude Op. 10, No. 1 in C major; Franz Liszt’s “Gnomenreigen” from “2 Konzertetüden, S.145” and Paraphrase de concert sur Ernani, S. 432.

Pianist Le Hoa Phong Lan, violinist Lam Hoai Bao and cellist Lai Huy Hoang will contribute Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49, II. Andante con moto tranquillo by Felix Mendelssohn.

The duo of Lam Hoai Bao and Le Hoa Phong Lan will wrap up the first half of the show by playing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Sonata in E minor, K. 304 for Piano and Violin, I. Allegro.

Audiences can enjoy performances by soprano Pham Khanh Ngoc and pianist accompanist Le Hoa Phong Lan via Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Lullaby” from “6 Romances, Op. 16” and George Frideric Handel’s Aria “Tornami A Vagheggiar” from “Alcina” and followed by Johann Sebastian Bach’s Bourree I & II Cello Suite No. 3 in C major, BWV 1009 by cellist Lai Huy Hoang and Gabriel Faure’s Élégie, Op. 24 by cellist Hoang and pianist Le Hoa Phong Lan.

Pianist duo Thach Thai Do Quyen and Le Thi Minh Trang will close the night by performing three works of Slavonic Dances, Op. 46 No. 2 in E minor and Slavonic Dances, Op. 46 No. 7 in C minor by Antonín Dvořák and Italian Capriccio, Op. 45 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The organizer calls for audiences to make a minimum donation of VND50,000 to help maintain the group’s operations.
