Saigon Heat have signed up American player Dijon Thompson as they prepare for the 2014 AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League playoff round.

Thompson has plenty of experience in Europe, having played in Germany, Russia and France. The 31-year old also has NBA experience and has been on the roster for several franchises, including the Phoenix Suns where he played ten games during the 2005-06 season.

The Heat, who aim to reach the event's final, will meet Westports Malaysia Dragons in their first match at the MABA Gymnasium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today.
